چکیده

Surface texturization of Transparent Conductive Oxides (TCOs) is a well-known strategy to enhance the light-trapping capabilities thin-film solar cells and thus, increase their power conversion efficiency. Herein, surface modification fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) using picosecond infrared direct laser interference patterning (DLIP) presented. The characterization exhibits periodic microchannels, which act as diffraction gratings yielding an in average diffuse transmittance up 870% spectral range 400–1000 nm. Despite one dimensionality microstructures, films did not acquire significant anisotropic electrical behavior, but partial deterioration conductivity observed result removal conductive material. This work proposes feasibility trading off portion obtain substantial improvement optical performance.

Structural, Electrical and Optical Properties of Molybdenum Oxide Thin Films Prepared by Post-annealing of Mo Thin Films

Molybdenum thin films with 50 and 150 nm thicknesses were deposited on silicon substrates, using DC magnetron sputtering system, then post-annealed at different temperatures (200, 325, 450, 575 and 700°C) with flow oxygen at 200 sccm (standard Cubic centimeter per minute). The crystallographic structure of the films was obtained by means of x-ray diffraction (XRD) analysis. An atomic force micr...

Precise microstructuring of indium-tin oxide thin films on glass by selective femtosecond laser ablation

Transparent conductive oxide (TCO) thin films were removed from glass substrates using femtosecond laser pulses. Irradiating through the glass, the threshold for complete TCO ablation was much lower than for front-side irradiation. Additionally, the former method created almost rectangular crosssectional groove profiles despite the Gaussian laser beam. This indicates a non-thermal ultrafast abl...

Infrared light induced patterning of proteins on ppNIPAM thermoresponsive thin films: a "protein laser printer".

Protein micropatterns have applications in fundamental life sciences and clinical medicine. In this work, we present a new technique to create 2-D protein micropatterns by local activation of a thin film of thermoresponsive plasma-deposited poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) (ppNIPAM) using a computer-controlled infrared laser beam. While the whole substrate is exposed to the protein solution, protein...

Analysis of PLC optical sensors integrated with tin oxide thin films

We proposed optical gas sensors based on PLCs integrated with SnO2 thin films. SnO2 thin film was placed on the core layer appeared by removing the upper cladding layer of PLC. The propagation loss is analyzed using 2-D finite-difference time-domain method as a function of refractive index change of SnO2 thin film. The propagation loss of 0.18 dB was observed when the change of refractive index...
